Formal Bio
Kady Cowan is Founder of the Sustainability Studio and Climate Sanctuary. In the Studio she invites organizations and institutions to learn and practice how to combine relational ecology with environmental, energy & climate safety into both strategic and everyday activities at work. In the Sanctuary, Kady invites peers and community members to face difficult climate feelings and emotions together. Kady has worked at the intersection of health systems, environmental protection and culture change for over 25 years in North America and Globally. Kady’s EcoSystem based practice amplifies coherence and clarifies direction with creative and inclusive facilitation for individuals and groups, as they prepare to embrace new ways of knowing. She helps others act in alignment with their values by creating the conditions for organizational learning, regeneration and multi-solving to emerge. Kady has been proud to serve as a climate, environment and energy system leader for local, national and international organizations including her current role as Interim Executive Director for Toronto Environmental Alliance, and previously for; Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care, Doctors Without Borders (MSF), Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in Ontario, Atrium Health in North Carolina, and University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto.
